I think I say this everytime I post, but time really does fly. Delaney is 9 months old already and Kenna will be 4 next week!! WOW!
Well, it has finally warmed up enough to be able to be outside. We put Delaney in her swing for the first time and she LOVED it!
Of course Kenna was very excited to be out playing as well. She has really missed her time outside this winter. I imagine we will have many more nights outside in the near future!
At Abigail group at church a few weeks ago, I took all my cloth diapers to show to some of the ladies. I had them in a bag in the living room and Kenna started getting them out and playing with them. It was too cute not to snap a few pictures!
I tried to get a few pictures of Delaney with Easter eggs but she was too interested in watching Kenna to look at me!
I know it is late but this is Delaney's 8 month picture. I can't believe how fast she is growing!
Kenna has a book that Nana made for her when she was a baby with pictures of her. She was looking at it the other day and wondered where the bear was in the picture. I had to explain to her that just like Delaney's pictures with her lamb, we took pictures of Kenna with her bear. I found it for her and she profoundly said "Mommy, it SHRUNK!" I said "No, Kenna you just got bigger!" (You can see her holding it in the picture. She was about Delaney's age at the time)
Before Easter, the Easter Bunny came to the model home in our subdivision. They even had baby chicks and baby ducks for the kids to pet. Kenna jumped right in! She was a little afraid to hold them because they were so wiggly but she sure did try it!
I think it is next to impossible to get a picture with everyone looking at the camera!
At Papa and Nana's house, the kids got to open their Easter baskets early! Even Delaney was excited!
Since the weather has been nice, we have been able to get out on our bikes a few times. (I even got a new bike since mine was from mom and dad when I was about 13! We hooked up the bike trailer and the girls LOVED it!
Easter morning the girls looked adorable. They wore matching green dresses with pink flowers! TOO CUTE!
After church, we had breakfast, then they had the annual easter egg hunt for all the kids. They kids were all given baskets and set out to find the eggs. I think they had a great time!
Again, I was trying to get a picture with everyone looking at the camera. One out of 3 isn't bad......
The Easter bunnt came to our house while we were at church. Kenna was hilarious as we got out of the car. The told us to "SHHHHHH" and we needed to tiptoe into the house because we might see him before he leaves. Sadly, the easter bunny was already gone when we got inside but he did leave treats!
Kenna tore through her basket so fast, I barely had time to take pictures. But, the good big sister that she is, she also went through Delaney's basket and told her everything that was in it.
Then the easter egg hunt began. I hud one in Delaney's toy mailbox and she found it!
Kenna had a great time finding the Easter eggs throughout the house!!!
For lunch after church, we all headed to Kari and Tim's for some great food and more easter egg hunting fun!
Before the egg hunting, some of us grown-ups went out and "hid" the easter eggs in the backyard, then we sent the kids out to find them. Sounds easy, right?
And the grown ups (and Dleaney) watched from the porch.........
Pretty soon, we realized that we were missing an egg...... Its pretty sad when the grown-ups can't fid the eggs they hid.................
Still looking..........
And FINALLY, the easter egg hunt was over, Granny found it!
Then the fun began of discovering what was IN all the eggs- parachuting bunnies, candy, bouncy balls, etc
Delaney really didn't care about what was in them, she just wanted to play with them!
