Well, the cerclage is out now! I was really nervous going in to the appt and I guess I had every right to be. I have NO IDEA how bad it would hurt to have them removed. (For those of you who don't want to know this about me, I'm sorry). The first one hurt but came out pretty smoothly (that is what Dr Schwartz said) but the second was surrounded by scar tissue. It was VERY PAINFUL as he took it out. I squeezed Tony's hand as hard as I could and bawled my eyes out. I felt kind of silly crying about it but it was not a comfortable procedure to have done. I'm very glad it is over! Dr Schwartz kept us in the room for about 20 minutes, then told us to stay an additional 1 1/2 hrs. He told us to go walk around outside for a while because he wanted to "see what would happen" since I was contracting and still in some pain. Luckily I'm still just 1cm and things look good!
This is a picture I took of myself at 36 weeks 1 day. I thought I did a pretty good job!
Monday for lunch Ashley, Jen, Kenna, Abbie, and I all got together for a lunch date. We met at Ashley's house and had carryout from
CJs. It was yummy, but like most things do, it upset my stomach : ( Jen is 32 weeks and I'm 36 weeks. I couldn't believe how much bigger I look and she does!!!
Sunday we spent the day with Aunt Di and Uncle Rick. Tony wanted to go golfing so us girls went to the pool. The water was a nice temperature but the wind blowing made it feel very cold. We didn't stay in too long. Poor Kenna's teeth were chattering! After a short nap, Uncle Rick decided he needed to teach Kenna to play some golf. She was doing really well until she wanted to putt on her own. She was swinging and missing the ball for a while. When she finally hit it, she threw the club down and ran around in a circle. I about died laughing. She was obviously running the bases. I'd say she has had a little too much baseball influence on her- thanks to Daddy and Papa Dee!
As we were getting ready to head to the pool, Kenna was hugging the baby. It was adorable so Aunt Di took a picture.
Above is Kenna playing in her pool on Saturday night. She wanted to me to get in but obviously sticking my toe in was enough for me. The water really wasn't very warm!
Friday night was the Old Settler's Day parade. Kenna had fun playing with Abbie before the parade, but once it started, she was not very fond of the sirens of police, fire, etc vehicles. But once the candy started coming, she came around!
My sleepy angel cuddling with daddy after a nap. How precious!
Say CHEEEESE!
It may be hard to see, but we were in the car and Kenna was eating celery with peanut butter. She decided she didn't want the celery and was licking the peanut butter from the container. She has a ring of peanut butter around face with other random deposits on her cheeks and nose!
Last weekend, we were at Angela's house and the girls were playing with Angela's wedding veil. Of course with Kenna being totally into princesses, she wanted to wear it and her princess dress the entire time- even though it was VERY hot outside!
I love this picture of her. I actually took it with my cell phone as she was getting ready to go watch Caroline's dance recital.
Another cell phone picture of Kenna with her crown in my car. She is princess thru and thru!
