Since our episode Monday night/Tuesday morning involving a trip to the hospital, the baby and I have been doing much better. We didn't get home until 6 am Tuesday morning. Of course, we went to bed immediately but was only able to sleep until around 11:30 Tuesday when the doctor's office called to check on me.
I gave myself the 2nd dose of steroids on Tuesday afternoon and was still feeling some of the side effects from the first dose which continued through yesterday as well- facial and neck flushing, hot dry mouth, headache, etc. I spoke with Dr Schwartz's office yesterday who said the symptoms were still consistent with side effects of the medications so to continue my current regimen of resting and drinking as much as I can.
We spent the day yesterday at Angela's to give Kenna some time to play with the girls. I feel so bad being home with her so much and not able to do whole lot, but we sure are thankful for those Mondays and Wednesdays when we can go to Angela's to play.
I think I was still trying to catch up for lost sleep yesterday because I was just exhausted all day. When we got home, Tony told me to go to bed (which I am very thankful for) and he would stay up and put Kenna to bed. I think I ended up falling asleep a little after 8:40 which felt wonderful! Of course I was up every hour to use the restroom from all the water I'm drinking but all in all I feel like I had a pretty good night of sleep.
Today our new refrigerator will be delivered and I'm quite excited. It will be nice to get the kitchen back in order AND have a place to keep food cold. Using the mini fridge from mom and dad isn't really meeting our needs. Right now we only have strawberries, milk, cheese, and eggs in it!
