Yesterday Kenna was so cute laying on the couch with her baby, I had to take a picture! They were wrapped up in a blanket together watching Cinderella! I loved it! I think she will love being a big sister, although may be a little disappointed when we don't let her carry around the new baby like she does her dolls!
As everyone knows, Kenna loved her "princess dresses" and only likes the ones that "dance"- meaning that she can twirl around and the dress twirls too. If it does not twirl to her heart's desire then it "doesn't dance" and she cannot wear it.
This particular dress was passed down from cousins Caroline and Taylor. It used to have fur around the sleeves but Kenna wanted it off because it was too itchy. She has worn this dress the last 2 days (over her clothes). She even wears it to nap in! I can't seem to find a good enough hiding place where she will not find it.
After twirling and singing all the Cinderella song - and some dancing with Daddy. She told me she was going to place "Bas-da-ball"- daddy was so proud. As you can see, she put her socks and shoes on. She looked completely hilarious as she jumped and ran around with a pretty dress and bright blue shoes on.
Kenna also had a cute conversation with Nana- my parents are on a trip out west. Kenna wanted to talk to Nana. She immediately asked if she could go to Nana's house
Kenna: "I come to your house"
Nana : (I imagine she said they were gone)
Kenna: "I come over and sit and wait. That be fine?"
It was adorable although I think it got to Nana a little. I think she misses the grandbabies...
And finally, the best news of the day is we FINALLY have a working refrigerator!! It is a long story, but we ended up buying one "in stock" in Ft Wayne, and the Sears store in CC went to get it for us! Kenna was so happy she had to put her snacks in it as soon as the delivery men were out the door!
